In the midst of Miami’s most tourist friendly area, it’s easy to gravitate towards the typical South Beach hotel scene equipped with a bougie pool and overpriced drinks. If you take a closer look, in the heart of mid-beach (a chicer & quieter area) lies a line of quaint hotels with 1950s Art Deco architecture that resembles the aesthetic and charm that drives people to Miami in the first place.
The Confidante (previously known as The Thompson) is our favorite place to hang when in need of a little staycation. Not only are the staff extremely friendly, but it’s one of the few places in Miami where you walk in and not feel a pretentious vibe, and we’re all about that. On this particular day, we were celebrating Valentina’s 25th birthday and we kindly got invited to enjoy the hotel’s historic Miami vibe that makes us never want to leave.

Til the next staycation! Cheers!
